
Animal Care Assistant/Front of House (Bray)

We are looking for someone with previous experience working as a receptionist and animal care assistant to join our team in our clinic- Village Vets @ Bray. We operate to a very high standard of Veterinary Medicine and the practice is fully equipped with excellent surgical, diagnostic, and medical equipment.
Our Bray branch opened as a proud member of the Village Vets family in a new building in 2022, having previously practiced as Bairbre O’Malley Veterinary Hospital.
We have a comprehensive range of facilities and equipment, including four consult rooms, separate wards for dogs, cats, and exotics, and in-house lab and diagnostics including digital x-ray, dental x-ray and ultrasound. We’re conveniently located on the Southern Cross Central, just off the N11 Bray and Greystones exit.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented team player who will be joining our front of house team who are the first point of contact for visitors at the clinic, and someone with previous experience as animal care assistant with the goal of progressing their career.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to €28,080.00 per year

Responsibilities
- Greet all visitors and welcome them to the clinic.
- Answer and direct phone calls.
- Schedule appointments.
- Checking in patients.
- Collecting payments.
- Maintain records as necessary.
- Manage the receptionist area and assist with admin tasks as needed.
- Support the veterinary surgeon and veterinary nurse in their daily duties.
- Assist in caring for patients and inpatients to the standards upheld by Village Vets.
- Undertake general cleaning throughout the clinic, including equipment and animal quarters.
- Run routine lab work under the direction of the veterinary nurse.
- Be responsible for creating and maintaining an outstanding client experience throughout the whole team.
- Carry out any ad hoc veterinary or administrative duties as required by the head nurse or area manager.
- Undertaking additional tasks as may be assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or relevant work experience.
- Animal care qualification
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication skills.
- 2 or more years of front of house/animal care experience.
