Our Kilmainham branch opened as a proud member of the Village Vets family in 2021, when we took over from Carey & Keane Veterinary Clinic and completely overhauled and extended our building and facilities.
We have four consult rooms, along with prep areas, a designated dental room, diagnostic facilities including digital and dental x-ray ultrasound, as well as an in-house lab.
We’re conveniently located in the centre of Kilmainham, and clients can make use of our free parking at the front of the clinic, as well as paid parking across the road if and when we’re full.

Pet health plan
We're very proud of our innovative Pet Health Plan, which includes unlimited vet visits. We believe that the cost of a consultation should never be a barrier to getting expert advice, and the practice has over 1000 pets taking advantage of the fantastic benefits it offers. All of our team members are pet owners and we all choose to enrol our pets on to the Pet Health Plan, as we all believe it provides the best level of care for our loved ones.

Our family have come on a long journey since 1980 when our dad, Karl Cosgrave, bought the veterinary practice in Dunshaughlin. Like all families, we’ve grown and changed since then. These days we’re proud to be working with the best vets and nurses in Ireland across our state of the art clinics in Meath and Dublin.

Supporting our local community
We take great pride in giving back to the Kilmainham community, and contribute wherever we can, offering discounted services to charities such as CDPA, Cats Aid, Dogs Trust and Blue Cross. We also regularly treat sick and injured wildlife for free – and are happy to help if you have a problem with wildlife in the area!
We’re close to Landsdowne Valley Park, Phoenix Park and the local memorial park, all of which are good bets to find members of our team out and about walking their dogs – give us a wave if you see us!
