Our Cabra branch opened as a proud member of the Village Vets family in 1996, having previously spent time as a poodle parlour!
We have two consult rooms, a surgery theatre, dental suite, separate dog and cat wards, an in-house lab and diagnostic facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound and dental x-ray.
We’re easy to get to, with pay and display street parking outside our front door and train, bus and Luas line stops all a short walk away.

Pet health plan
We're very proud of our innovative Pet Health Plan, which includes unlimited vet visits. We believe that the cost of a consultation should never be a barrier to getting expert advice, and the practice has over 1000 pets taking advantage of the fantastic benefits it offers. All of our team members are pet owners and we all choose to enrol our pets on to the Pet Health Plan, as we all believe it provides the best level of care for our loved ones.

Our family have come on a long journey since 1980 when our dad, Karl Cosgrave, bought the veterinary practice in Dunshaughlin. Like all families, we’ve grown and changed since then. These days we’re proud to be working with the best vets and nurses in Ireland across our state of the art clinics in Meath and Dublin.

Supporting our local community
We take great pride in giving back to the Cabra community, and contribute wherever we can, offering discounted services to charities such as Dogs Trust, The Blue Cross and Kildare Animal Welfare. We also regularly treat sick and injured wildlife for free – and are happy to help if you have a problem with wildlife in the area! We’re very lucky to be within walking distance of Phoenix Park, so if you ever see one of the team walking their dogs there do give us a wave!
