Vet Surgeon (Ashbourne)

We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Surgeon to come and join our team of highly skilled vets and nurses at our practice based in Village Vets Ashbourne, Co Meath. 

Within Village Vets we have a Clinical Support Team and a Surgical Mentor that can provide you with the training you may need.

Our family veterinary practice is constantly growing as a result of the fantastic work our Vets, Nurses and care team do every day. We are looking for great people to join our team.

Within our teams we have experienced vets and nurses including Certificate holders in Diagnostic Imaging, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Endoscopy, ECC and Anaesthesia.

We operate to a very high standard of Veterinary Medicine and our practice is fully equipped with excellent surgical, diagnostic, and medical equipment.

Our ideal candidates will have a strong desire to work in small animal practice and be highly motivated, hard-working, and will be team players. In Village Vets we strive to provide the best standard of care to our patients and the best service to our clients. We are proud to support our staff with a comprehensive CPD program and we welcome and encourage any interest in further education.

We do not have any out of hours service during the week or weekends.

Orthopaedic Nurse

Currently Village Vets are looking for an experienced veterinary nurse to join our highly skilled team in our DSPCA clinic. Minimum 3 years nursing experience, confident with anaesthesia and surgical nursing, prior orthopaedic nursing not essential, a desire to work in a fast paced and rewarding specialty a must.

You’ll be working alongside experienced nurses, (many of whom have already completed their certificate or masters qualifications), using state of the art diagnostic and monitoring equipment, as part of a friendly and supportive team.

The Veterinary Nurse at Village Vets is a vital and respected part of our team. Here you will play a pivotal role in providing top-quality care to our animal patients and ensuring excellent service to our clients. 

 

Career Progression

For experienced nurses we offer the opportunity for career progression to one of our specialty nurse positions in orthopaedics, dentistry, dermatology, cardiology, feline, exotics, hospital and head nurse positions.

 

We offer

  • Competitive salary, between €40-44k DOE.
  • No OOH and no weekends. 
  • Full time, 5 day, 40 hour week. 
  • CPD encouraged and funded in addition to your annual leave days

  • VCI/VDS fees paid
  • Certificates funded
