Our Ashbourne branch joined the Village Vets family in 2008 and is well equipped with modern facilities including an in-house laboratory, diagnostic equipment such as x-rays, dental x-rays and ultrasonography, and two consult rooms. We’re passionate about fear free techniques to help make every one of our patients’ visits to see us as comfortable as possible.
We’re conveniently located in the centre of Ashbourne and clients can make use of our parking facilities in front of our building, which are free for an hour and €1 for the full day.

Pet health plan
We're very proud of our innovative Pet Health Plan, which includes unlimited vet visits. We believe that the cost of a consultation should never be a barrier to getting expert advice, and the practice has over 1000 pets taking advantage of the fantastic benefits it offers. All of our team members are pet owners and we all choose to enrol our pets on to the Pet Health Plan, as we all believe it provides the best level of care for our loved ones.

Our family have come on a long journey since 1980 when our dad, Karl Cosgrave, bought the veterinary practice in Dunshaughlin. Like all families, we’ve grown and changed since then. These days we’re proud to be working with the best vets and nurses in Ireland across our state of the art clinics in Meath and Dublin.

Supporting our local community
We take great pride in giving back to the x community, and contribute wherever we can, offering discounted services to charities such as CDPA, Dogs Trust and Mollies Animal Rescue. We also regularly treat sick and injured wildlife for free – and are happy to help if you have a problem with wildlife in the area!
