Pietro Nicola De Simone DVM, GPCert (SAM) leads our Internal Medicine service. Pietro graduated from the University of Naples in 2015 and went on to gain broad clinical experience across several veterinary practices, including emergency and out-of-hours work, before moving to Ireland. He joined the team at Village Vets Clondalkin in 2021. Pietro has a strong passion for internal medicine, with a particular interest in understanding the underlying causes of disease and “what is really going on” with his patients. This drive for deeper clinical insight led him to complete a GPCert in Small Animal Medicine with Improve International in 2025.

Our Ashbourne branch joined the Village Vets family in 2008 and we moved to our shiny new site in 2024, which is well equipped with modern facilities including an in-house laboratory, diagnostic equipment such as x-rays, dental x-rays and ultrasonography, four consult rooms and two surgical theatres.
