Experience Veterinary Surgeon – Village Vets Ashbourne

Location: Ashbourne, Co Meath

Reports to: Regional Director

Salary: Range of 60-65k

We’re delighted to share that our Ashbourne team is growing at Village Vets! As part of our continued commitment to delivering excellent patient care and supporting team development, we are currently seeking an experienced GP Vet to join our dedicated and supportive team.

About the Role:
We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with 3+ years’ experience who is confident in both medicine and surgical procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive, well-equipped clinic within a collaborative network.

About Our Ashbourne Hospital:
Our Ashbourne branch has been part of the Village Vets family since 2008, and in 2024 we moved into a purpose-built, state-of-the-art facility. The hospital provides 24-hour care and referral services, including advanced imaging (CT) and specialist soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures.

The clinic is fully equipped with modern technology, including:

• In-house laboratory
• Digital x-ray and dental x-ray
• Ultrasonography
• Two spacious surgical theatres
• Four consult rooms
• Separate dog and cat wards

Conveniently located in the centre of Ashbourne, the hospital offers free all-day parking. It also operates as a dedicated emergency clinic from 8:00 PM to 8:00 AM, supporting both internal and external clients.

• 3+ years’ experience in small animal practice
• Strong interest and confidence in medicine
• Competent in surgical procedures
• Motivated, hard-working, and a strong team player
