CLINICAL DIRECTOR ANNOUNCEMENT | Village Vets

We are very excited to announce two very important appointments to the Village Vets team.

Aoife Caulfield and Avril McGinn will take up the roles of clinical directors from summer 2018. The calibre of their combined experience is exceptional and they will be a huge asset to the great team of vets and nurses in our practice.

Following graduation, Aoife spent time working in a busy multi vet hospital in Canada before returning home. Upon joining Village Vets in 2013, Aoife was instrumental in setting up Dublin's first and only cat specific veterinary clinic, Just Cats. Aoife has postgraduate qualifications in feline medicine from the Australia and New Zealand College of Veterinary Scientists.

Avril graduated from Royal Dick University in Edinburgh and followed this with the prestigious Dick Vet junior clinical training scholarship before returning back to Ireland. Avril spent time working with Village Vets in Hillcrest, Just Cats and Cabra before working with the DSPCA. Avril will be completing her internal medicine certificate from University of Liverpool during the summer of 2018.

This dual appointment is a demonstration of our commitment to excellence in veterinary care and the support and clinical progression of our veterinary team. Their role will also encompass the expansion of the Village Vets CPD program for both Vets and Nurses. These roles and our CPD program are unique within private veterinary practice in Ireland with Village Vets constantly improving the level of care and services we provide to our clients and their pets.

We are very proud of both Aoife and Avril's appointment to these roles. Their vast experience will contribute to improved excellence in client and patient care.
