The newly expanded, Village Vets Douglas is led by Declan and Elaine Quigley, combining decades of veterinary expertise with genuine warmth. Together, they’ve created a welcoming clinic in the heart of Douglas, where pets are treated like family and every client is met with kindness and trusted expertise.
About the Role
- Perform a wide range of first‑opinion orthopaedic surgeries
- Provide second‑opinion orthopaedic consultations and case advice across Village Vets clinics
- Manage the orthopaedic email service, offering timely support and ensuring steady surgical caseload flow
- Investigate and manage cases thoroughly prior to referral, maintaining accurate clinical records
- Deliver high‑quality after‑care and ensure smooth clinical handovers
- Support an excellent client experience across all touchpoints
- Collaborate closely with clinic teams to uphold Village Vets’ standards of care
About You
- Hold an MVB or equivalent and current VCI registration
- Demonstrate strong knowledge and experience in small animal orthopaedics
- Be competent in a range of orthopaedic surgeries, including TPLO, TTA/CWLO, TTT, FHO, and fracture repairs
- Offer confident second‑opinion advice on radiographs and case management
- Thrive in a fast‑paced environment and make sound clinical decisions
- Hold (desirable) an Advanced Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (Orthopaedic)
