We now accept outpatient referrals for CT imaging from veterinary practices across the country.
All CT scans are reported by Diplomate radiologists via a telemedicine service, with reports typically delivered within 4 days. For urgent cases, expedited reporting is available within 4–6 hours (additional fees apply).
Our CT referral service is for a CT Scan ONLY. A referral consultation with a vet is not included and the results of the scan will be sent directly to the referring practice to continue patient treatment there.
Please note, referrals for CT must be made through the primary vet practice and cannot be arranged directly by owners themselves.
Scans cost €800 for up to 2 regions.
Prices include sedation/anaesthesia, contrast and standard reporting (non-urgent 1-4 business days).
For scans of more than 2 regions, urgent reporting and additional charges apply.
Our 24-hour clinic in Village Vets Ashbourne is equipped with a Toshiba Aquilion Prime 160-slice CT scanner, offering rapid, high-resolution imaging for a wide range of conditions.

Our Ashbourne branch joined the Village Vets family in 2008 and we moved to our shiny new site in 2024, which is well equipped with modern facilities including an in-house laboratory, diagnostic equipment such as x-rays, dental x-rays and ultrasonography, four consult rooms and two surgical theatres.
