Services

Our Ashbourne branch joined the Village Vets family in 2008 and we moved to our shiny new site in 2024, which is well equipped with modern facilities including an in-house laboratory, diagnostic equipment such as x-rays, dental x-rays and ultrasonography, four consult rooms and two surgical theatres.

We provide the following services:

  • High-Risk Anaesthetic Cases
We accept high-risk patients for sedation or general anaesthesia, including those with cardiovascular, renal, hepatic disease, or very young/old patients. These cases may require advanced monitoring or specialist drugs. Please contact us to discuss individual cases.
  • Acute Pain Management
We can manage acute pain in both inpatients and outpatients – common cases include post-RTAs (Road Traffic Accidents), severe wounds, or acute pancreatitis.
  • Chronic Pain Management
Chronic pain in older pets is often undertreated. Aislinn has a special interest in this area, with excellent results improving quality of life through tailored protocols.
  • Palliative Care
We also support patients in the palliative stage, helping manage pain and comfort during this difficult time.
  • Pain Assessment for Behavioural Cases
Pain should always be ruled out before starting behavioural treatment. We recommend a full pain assessment early in the behaviour management process.
