Our Veterinary Cardiology service is led by Dr. Martin O’Toole MVB GPCert (Cardio) CertAVP, an experienced and highly qualified clinician with a strong background in both internal medicine and diagnostic imaging.
Martin graduated from UCD in 1995 and has since built an impressive career. He began performing abdominal ultrasonography in 2010 and echocardiography in 2015, developing a particular interest in all aspects of echocardiography and arrhythmia management.
He undertook postgraduate studies in 2019, earning the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (AVP) from the University of Liverpool in 2021, followed by the RCVS Certificate in Cardiorespiratory Medicine in 2022.
Our Ashbourne branch joined the Village Vets family in 2008 and we moved to our shiny new site in 2024, which is well equipped with modern facilities including an in-house laboratory, diagnostic equipment such as x-rays, dental x-rays and ultrasonography, four consult rooms and two surgical theatres.
