Our Veterinary Neurology Service is led by Dr. Carla Lluch, DVM PGCert (Neuro), who holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Small Animal Neurology from IFEVET. Carla has shown a strong interest in neurology from the beginning of her career, which led her to train in diagnostic imaging and work alongside leading professionals in Spain, managing CT and MRI services in several hospitals across the Valencian Community.
She is passionate about the diagnosis and management of neurological conditions, with a focus on evidence-based medicine and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
Carla is available for neurology referrals at our Lusk clinic, and works closely with referring veterinarians to ensure a collaborative, transparent, and supportive referral experience for both clients and their pets.
Our Ashbourne branch joined the Village Vets family in 2008 and we moved to our shiny new site in 2024, which is well equipped with modern facilities including an in-house laboratory, diagnostic equipment such as x-rays, dental x-rays and ultrasonography, four consult rooms and two surgical theatres.
We provide referral services for the following medical neurology cases including:
Please note that at present we are unable to accept neurology cases that require immediate surgical intervention such as intervertebral disc disease causing non ambulatory paresis or plegia.
We pride ourselves on providing quality and compassionate pet care.
