Our Orthopaedic team, led by partner Sean Murphy, offers a comprehensive range of diagnostic and surgical treatment options for pets with orthopaedic conditions, from fractures and joint injuries to chronic mobility issues. With access to advanced imaging, including our on-site CT scanner in Ashbourne, we can ensure accurate and timely diagnoses, allowing for effective treatment planning. Whether your pet requires medical management, corrective surgery, or post-operative care, our experienced team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, compassionate care every step of the way. 
Sean holds a PgC in Small Animal Diagnostic Imaging (SADI), a Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (CertSAS), and an Advanced Certificate in Small Animal Orthopaedics (AdvCertSAO). He brings extensive experience in TPLO surgery, complex fracture management, regenerative medicine, multimodal pain management, and tailored arthritis treatment plans.

Services

Our Ashbourne branch joined the Village Vets family in 2008 and we moved to our shiny new site in 2024, which is well equipped with modern facilities including an in-house laboratory, diagnostic equipment such as x-rays, dental x-rays and ultrasonography, four consult rooms and two surgical theatres.
